Ricki Vann Albritton was born and raised in Sebring, Florida. She is 22 years old and a senior at the University of Florida. She will be graduating this May to major in Telecommunications/News with an outside concentration in Sport Management.

Ricki has always loved God, people, and the 12 Hours of Sebring. She says, “This race is like Christmas in March! It’s a time when my family and friends come together each Spring sharing joy with an awesome all-day feast, plus enjoy visiting with one another while watching the annual 12 hour event.”

Ricki went to Sebring High School where she played volleyball, softball, and soccer. Her senior year she was elected Class President, Homecoming Queen, and Prom Queen by her peers. Throughout high school she was an active member of Student Government and Youth for Christ.

In Ricki’s first two years of college she went to South Florida State College in Avon Park, Florida where she played on the college’s volleyball team. For the 2010 season she was elected team captain.

In the summer of 2011, Ricki moved to Gainesville and started school at the University of Florida. “I’ve always wanted to be a ‘true’ Gator girl and going to SFSC allowed me to accomplish that goal.” Ricki is an active member on the Dean’s Advisory Council, Journalism and Communications Ambassadors, and the National Broadcasting Society. Ricki also anchors entertainment news at WUFT-TV. “Being involved at school is so important. Plus, I like being plugged into the social life on campus.”

When it comes to the Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh From Florida, Ricki can’t remember a time not being involved. She has never missed a race and is thrilled to represent the track as the 2013 Miss 12 Hours.

Ricki says her passion for Sebring’s own Lemans Series was learned from watching her family work the race each year. Her grandfather, Russ Albritton Jr. used to volunteer at the track by delivering meals to workers throughout the 1960s and 70s. Her father, Russ Albritton III has volunteered for the last ten years by staffing over 140-volunteers at the front gate. Her grandparents even work a shift.

In the last four years Ricki has volunteered with Fast Lane Promotions where she has lined up the grid girls for the start of the race, she has sold VIP passes for the bikini contest, and she serves the VIP guests.

At the 2011 race, Ricki worked for the Cohan Radio Group. During the race, she voiced remotes from around the track. They were used as hourly updates on the company’s AM and FM radio stations. That same year she was the voiceover artist for the Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh From Florida radio race commercial.

Ricki is so excited to represent the track at the 61st Annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh From Florida. “The race means so much to my family, friends, and myself. I feel like I’m waiting for Christmas morning!”
